Joseph Bacon on 25 Feb I didn't think the advice applied to me since my McAfee is no longer active. It didn't occur to me until recently that there's got to be a place to disable Windows Defender. Following the advice in the support article, I just found my Windows Defender Security Center and disabled "Real-time Protection", "Cloud-delivered Protection", and "Automatic Sample Submission" all that was listed that I could disable. However, it didn't make a difference. It still gives me the same error.
Thanks for showing me the contact page. I'm trusting they'll be able to help me. Jan on 25 Feb The page mentions more problems, not only the virus protection: Firewall, Proxy, destination not a local disk? Several user mentiones, that the installation runs, when the files are stored on the local C disk.
Alexei Jolkin on 22 Nov Connection Error. As many other Matlab users I am on a corporate network with lots of cooky stuff which I have no control of whatsoever. I've wasted a day tweaking Proxy, Firewall and Java Antivirus is absolutely out of my control. Still could not install Matlab.
This miserable ZScaler is a part of some sort of corporate cloud solution and messes things up pretty badly. Ripp this ZScaler off your computer and you will be able to install Matlab. All my cloud drives still work, at least in te office area. I am on W Good luck! Siddharth Magadum on 21 Jan Edited: Siddharth Magadum on 21 Jan This did work for me for the first time.
But I didn't complete the installation process as I was not sure which all products I needed to install. Accepted Answer. Image Analyst on 23 Sep If you got a free 30 day trial version , then it's free for 30 days. They figure that's enough time for you to figure out if it will work for you. If your version was installed 3 years ago, then it won't work and you'll have to ask The Mathworks if they'll give you another 30 day version.
If you got a free version from your university , like the R version my son got from his university, then you'll have to contact your university about their rules for installing it.
Atleast for student, mathworks can make a student free version 6 months trial. Linh Tang on 30 Oct Walter Roberson on 30 Oct My understanding was that those trial licenses were only for use by students at universities that used to provide licenses to students, but were unable to do so for reasons connected to COVID response, and the licenses were intended to get students through to the end of the term.
As a new term is well underway, those conditions would not apply, so I am not at all sure that those kinds of licenses are still being made accessible.

Image Analyst on 30 Oct True, I'd forgotten about that. Even though I pay for my license renewal every year, I still get a message once a year that I need to update the already-paid-for license.
